Lo & Behold!

I PASSED MY ETHICS EXAM!!!

Ok lah, to be honest, I’m not THAT happy and excited. It’s more of like a wave of relieve than anything else.

But seriously, the whole thing is a little disappointing.

Firstly, it took more than a month for our results to be released.

Then all of a sudden, we received this piece of PAPER stating something like “Certificate of Due Diligence” bla bla bla “This is to certify that you have DULY ATTENDED …”

...

DULY ATTENDED??!!! What happened to the forcing-us-to-take-the-exam-and-us-passing??!!!

I wasn’t even sure whether did I pass or not when I received that piece of paper. So I called the Bar Council. This transpired:

X: Hello, selamat petang.

Me: Selamat petang. I’m calling to enquire about my ethics results (okay-lah for that one moment I was dumbfounded because I didn’t expect the lady to speak to me in BM! So I spoke in English. -_-)

X: Please hold on.

*some annoying music*

Y: Hello?

Me: Hello, I’m calling to enquire about my ethics results.

Y: Oh, you have to speak to Shahril (or something like that). I’ll pass you to him.

Me: Thank you.

Y: You’re welcome.

*the same music again*

Shahril: Hello.

Me: Hello, I’m calling to enquire about my ethics results (at this point I was kinda pissed off with repeating the same sentence).

Shahril: Wait.

*silence*

Shahril: What session?

Me: *dumbfounded again* Err… I’m from Penang?

Shahril: Petition number?

Me: 18-****-08

*silence*

Shahril: Pass.

Me: Thank…

*Shahril hangs up*

WTF??!!

Nevermind that he didn’t have the courtesy to at least congratulate me. At least let me finish saying thank you lah!

Craziness man!

But anyways, I’m relieved that I passed!

LOL! I feel you! Though I didn't call up, I just ran to my senior and ask her if this means I passed? After all, they just say I attended! hehe The 'DULLY ATTENDED' was soooo stupid! Does failing it means we have not duly attended the course? hahaha
